Half of all Americans will face housing insecurity at some point in their lifetime. The need for safe and affordable housing exists in our surrounding communities and around the world.
In response to this need, the IPM family volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for our second quarter 2018 Integrated Project Mercy effort to help provide families with another chance at safe and affordable housing.
The Boston office volunteered with the North Central Massachusetts chapter of Habitat for Humanity by renovating a historic building. The historic building was turned into not just one, but two energy efficient homes – providing two families with shelter.
The Chicago IPM volunteers divided into two teams to support Habitat for Humanity in DuPage County. The first team of IPMers volunteered as part of a Team Build Day refurbishing a local family home. The second team completed a major concrete demo renovating a townhouse complex in Hanover Park.
Our Los Angeles family supported the San Gabriel Valley chapter of Habitat for Humanity by volunteering as part of a Team Build Day assisting with the construction of six new homes in Glendale, CA.
The San Francisco team enjoyed their time volunteering at the Playhouse Workshop for Habitat for Humanity in East Bay/Silicon Valley. IPMers assembled and decorated children’s playhouses to be donated to local charities within the Bay area.
The New Jersey family supported the Bergen County chapter of Habitat for Humanity by contributing to the construction efforts of a local family home through a Team Build Day.
Our St. Louis volunteers plan to support the Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis chapter in a Team Build Day that will be held on September 29.
