IPM CEO Featured on Leadership Podcast
“The true test of greatness of something is that it lasts, whether it’s a building or your reputation,” said Rich Panico, quoting his father and expressing how he’s lived his life. The Founder, President, and CEO of Integrated Project Management Company, Inc. (IPM) shared this philosophy with leadership and performance consultant Ed Molitor, CEO of The Molitor Group and host of The Athletics of Business podcast.
Endurance is a quality Panico instilled at IPM when he founded the company in 1988. “It’s a goal that was part of the vision: that we’d celebrate its 100th anniversary and beyond,” he noted.
Throughout the conversation, Panico revealed influences and characteristics that formed his vision and those that continue to drive IPM today. Among these are leading from the heart, building trust and confidence among clients, using self-awareness to fill skill and knowledge gaps, being authentic and vulnerable, and prioritizing values over talent. He also shared what has enabled IPM to reach record financials in a difficult environment and what cash management habits help him sleep at night.
