Alverno Laboratories partners with IPM to implement integration of new healthcare clients as Alverno expands its lab integration footprint
Integrated Project Management Company, Inc. (IPM) and Alverno Laboratories (Alverno) have announced a partnership in which IPM will lead implementation of the integration and onboarding of new hospital and healthcare system clients as Alverno expands its geographic footprint.
Hammond, Ind.-based Alverno Laboratories is one of the largest integrated laboratory networks in the United States. It owns and operates more than 30 hospital laboratories and a central laboratory performing both clinical and anatomic pathology. Alverno’s cutting-edge technologies and capabilities are recognized and well-regarded, as reflected through its recognition as the first U.S. Beckman Coulter microbiology innovation center. Partnering with Alverno Laboratories allows hospitals and healthcare systems to tap into a proven model of an integrated laboratory network. Joining Alverno provides multilayered benefits such as improved efficiency, reduced testing costs, and successful laboratory staffing models.
To ensure that new customers—the hospitals and healthcare networks with whom Alverno partners—experience a smooth transition, Alverno has enlisted IPM to implement its future integrations.
IPM has led the integration of several Alverno partners in the past. IPM provides professional project management expertise to ensure disciplined planning and execution and applies lab-specific experience to minimize disruption. Working elbow to elbow with the partners, IPM achieves on-time delivery, on-budget execution, minimal operational downtime, and disciplined change management and communication to ensure sustainability.
“We’re happy to be able to provide our new hospital partners with the confidence that their onboarding and integration won’t disrupt patient care,” says Alverno President and CEO Sam Terese. “Working with a world-class implementation firm will enable Alverno to support more healthcare systems and enhance more lives.”
IPM President and CEO C. Richard Panico also sees benefit in the partnership with Alverno. “Beyond advancing our own growth objectives, working with Alverno and its new clients will keep IPM at the forefront of healthcare technology,” Panico says. “It’s an easy decision to commit our resources to an organization that shares our values, is passionate about continuous performance improvement, and dedicated to making a positive societal impact.”
