Founder and CEO Panico Tells Peers How IPM Can Elude a Recession

IPM CEO featured in Chief Executive

In 2008, when it became obvious that a significant recession was coming, Integrated Project Management Company Founder, President, and CEO C. Richard Panico was asked by employees and clients alike what the company was going to do to. His response: “We’re not going to participate.”

So when Chief Executive magazine recently asked Panico the same question, he gave the same answer. The response is not bluster or bravado. “While it was easy to say that, it wasn’t just an emotional response or reaction,” Panico told the reporter. “I’d really thought about it.”

The article outlines the reasons that Panico believes IPM wasn’t hampered by the Great Recession but, in fact, continued its growth trajectory. He expects the company to do the same in the next downturn by flying under the radar with a small market share, proactively monitoring and reacting to business patterns, transparently communicating with and engaging the organization, and executing an offensive strategy.
